Milestones
- 1995 Nidaria Technology Ltd was created, with the aim of making the beach a safer place by formulating products to protect people against sun and jellyfish hazards.
- 1997 First patent application for world's first lotion formula which provides dual protection from sun radiation and jellyfish stings.
- 1998 Development of the first Nidaria Dual Protection product, protecting against jellyfish stings and sunburn.
- 1999 Clinical tests at a leading Mediterranean medical center approved Nidaria's Dual Protection sunscreen.
- 2000 Launch of Safe-Sea® in the U.S.A. and Israel as the world's only sunscreen that provides protection against sun and jellyfish stings.
- 2001 Safe-Sea® launched in Japan; Further sunscreen products developed with SPFs from 15 to 50+.
- 2002 U.S. Navy funds global testing of Nidaria's sunscreen & Dual Protection products. Safe-Sea® approved in trials at Stanford Hospital CA, Japan, and Florida.
- 2003 Collaboration with multi-national companies introduces Nidaria sunscreen under leading brand name in Spain. Nidaria product line expands to 8 sunscreens with different SPF and UVA protection.
- 2004 Development of technical / sport sunscreen for military use and extreme mountaineering conditions.
- 2005 First oceanic field clinical test, under FDA inspection, approves Nidaria sun protection products.
- 2006 Launch of ISDIN product line at leading stores throughout Spain.
- 2007 Partnerships with leading brands SSL international Sauber & Mrs. Baby. Development of the first W/O Sunscreen Spray. Nidaria production capacity exceeds 100 tons of sunscreen.
- 2008 Product line now includes over 30 varieties of sunscreen. Approved according to the latest regulations of the EU, U.S.A. and Japan. Nidaria products sold in 15 countries around the globe.
